AlgaVenice spirulina is produced inside closed bags, where there is no contamination. It grows by sunlight at a controlled temperature ranging from 35-40°C.

When it is extracted, it is always dried at low temperatures and is NOT pasteurized because the resulting bacterial load from cultivation is very low.
